Elections Newfoundland and Labrador updates the Voters List on a continuous basis. To be added to the Voters List you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • A Canadian Citizen
  • recently moved to Newfoundland and Labrador
  • A resident of Newfoundland and Labrador

If you meet these requirements and:

  • are uncertain if you are on the Voters List
  • recently turned 18 years of age
  • changed residence since the last time you voted in a provincial election
  • changed your name
  • recently moved to Newfoundland and Labrador

You may also complete the Voter Registration Application (VR-21), provided below, and submit it by email or regular mail. The VR 21 form is a fillable pdf file that can be saved and printed. Acceptable identification verifying your name, address and signature must accompany the application.

Please refer to the Guidelines for Acceptable Identification (VR-15) if you require clarification. If an elector is unable to provide acceptable identification, a Guarantor's Form (VR-23) or Affidavit for Identification (VR-24) must accompany this form.

Completed VR-21 Voter Registration Applications, as well as any accompanying identification forms, may be submitted as hard copy, scanned images, pictures or copies.
