Who can Register?


To Qualify as an elector in Newfoundland and Labrador you must:
  • Be a Canadian Citizen
  • Be 18 years of age or more on Polling Day
  • Ordinarily resident in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador the day before Polling Day
  • Ordinarily resident in the electoral district on Polling Day

Can I register when I go to vote?

Yes, BUT you will have to swear an oath and produce identification

Am I on the voters list?


You may not be on the list or in the correct Polling Division if:
  • you have recently moved to this Province
  • changed your name
  • changed residence, or
  • turned 18
